Beneath the skin of this neat little post lies a couple of much bigger issues.
First – that even a business as profoundly disruptive as eBay needs to focus on the next wave of disruption, and ideally needs to make it happen rather than have it happen to it.
Second – getting this fringe activity to have a meaningful impact on the business is difficult for a whole host of – often very human – reasons.
